Training course activity in Valladolid, Spain

Between October 25 and 28, 2022, the Romanian Intermodal Association, in collaboration with our partners from Formative Footprint (Spain) and those from the Institute of Innovation and Research (Poland), organized the “Stop Digital Divide” Seminar in Valladolid, through which were shared the best practices and common understanding to design learning experiences using digital pedagogy.

The “Stop Digital Divide” project was designed to develop, test and implement an innovative digital educational ecosystem that enables educators to create and distribute engaging learning activities for adults. To do this, educators and other adult education staff develop their digital skills and use appropriate teaching methods and tools adapted to digital education.

This common goal of moving traditional methods into a digital format brings together educators from partner organizations to learn and share best practices in the field of digital pedagogy to create engaging learning experiences.

All partners have collected best practices for the use of technology and digital tools in adult education. The answers to the key questions that started this seminar were discussed:

  1. What digital skills are needed during training from the perspective of adult educators?
  2. What are the digital skills improved by learners?

The main keywords that gravitated around this event were technology, learning tools, and styles, engaging educational programs, and internet safety skills. Among the exciting tools presented to this seminar are the Mentimeter app (which helps to get a quick assessment) and Padlet (which helps to get concrete feedback for digital portfolios).

Each partner had at their disposal one day from the agenda to present the digital pedagogical methods that they considered appropriate for the implementation of new tools.

At the end of these 4 days full of useful information for the field of academic teaching, the seminar was concluded with a small ceremony of handing out certificates of attendance and with a session of suggestions/ideas/designs for the next event dedicated to the same theme.
